Spring has arrived in Cornwall
Wow, what an amazing few weeks we’ve been having here in Kingsand!
The sun has been out, the skies are blue and the sea is starting to warm up..a little bit! I’ve been swimming every day here with friends and family and it has been glorious. Summer is so close you can almost smell it.
Further away from the sea the flowers are in full bloom, the birds are celebrating the start of the new season and the South West Coast Path is just beautiful.
The Cawsand Passenger Ferry is now starting the season with hourly trips to and from Plymouth Barbican. You could leave your car at home and take the Great Western Railway Night Train to Cornwall, the most romantic way to visit from Paddington.
Looking ahead to what Cornwall has to offer this coming May and June, there’s plenty to choose from including our very own The Black Prince Flower Boat May Day Procession in Kingsand & Cawsand on the 1st May where the whole village takes part. Other events include the Port Eliot Dog Festival 6 May, Fal River Festival 26 May to 4 June, Looe Festival of the Sea 4 June and Polperro Music Festival 10 to 18 June. Across in Plymouth, the Plymouth Pirate Weekend returns to our shores on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 May and the Royal William Yard Festival
Festival 27 – 28 May.
Booking-wise, we’re getting busy so please make sure you contact us as soon as you can,
We very much look forward to welcoming you to our holiday by the sea,
